In May 2020, KitchenAid launched a test project to explore virtual trade fair possibilities with its Countertop Appliances division. The project involved the development of a fully digital trade fair stand using advanced IT concepting, 3D Max modeling, and 3D Vista programming. The stand was built on HTML5-based web technology and featured a dynamic CMS, enabling a highly interactive virtual tour. Key highlights included product showcases on virtual shelves, embedded image films, chat functionality, integrated Zoom conferencing, and downloadable product sheets and brochures—demonstrating how digital spaces can mirror real trade fair experiences.
